Once you become pregnant, there are a lot of changes that your body begins to undergo. The most obvious change that you will notice aside from your growing belly is your breast growth as well as its characteristics. Here are the changes that you will notice from the start to the end of your pregnancy:
- Breast tenderness- this is probably the first sign that you will notice once you become pregnant. However, since the breast tenderness that you will feel in your early stages of pregnancy is the same as the tenderness that you almost always feel before menstruation which is why although it is a significant sign of pregnancy, it always goes unnoticed. The breast soreness is due to the changes that your breast tissues are undergoing since they are beginning to form milk for your baby.
- Changes in the nipples- the nipples are one of the parts of your breasts that will undergo a major change. Usually your breasts become larger and darker and white spots will appear around your areola called the Montgomery’s tubercles. These are normal so there is no need for you to panic even though they might look different.
- Colostrum leaks- since your breasts are producing milk during your pregnancy stage, there will usually be colostrum leaks. That means that there will be times when you are going to notice that your shirt and bra is wet due to the leak. Colostrum is the milk that that comes out of your breasts naturally and it contains the nutrients and vitamins that your baby will need in order to have a stronger immune system. There are special bras that you can wear in order to absorb the wetness. If you want to save, you can just buy a maternity bra so that you will be able to use it from pregnancy up to your breastfeeding period. The colostrums leaks can start from the pregnancy up to the breastfeeding period.
- Larger breasts- this is one of the most welcomed changes in the breast that most women who are not satisfied with their current breast size. This is also the most natural way of making your boobs bigger since once you are pregnant, the hormones will naturally reproduce in large amounts, thereby making your breasts increase in their size.
Basically, these are the normal breast changes during pregnancy that you will notice. However, there are certain cases that even if you become pregnant, there is only a slight change in your breasts. These are also normal so if you are one of those you do not have to panic. The good thing about minimal body changes in pregnancy is that after delivering the baby, you will not have the dilemma of thinking of how to lose the extra pounds that you have gained since you normally will also not retain the extras. Once your baby is already there, your body will remain the same as when you were still not pregnant but will also have slightly fuller breasts since you are lactating even if there are no drastic changes.
